Dear Parents and Students:
I am excited to welcome you to McIntosh Middle STEM A2 school. Our vision is to create a culture of learning and belonging in which all students and staff are empowered. Our mission is to ensure that every student is college and career ready.
The staff and I would like you to know that here at McIntosh Middle School, ALL children and families are important and treated equitably regardless of race, gender, or identity preference. We pride ourselves on being a safe place for children, parents, as well as our staff. We promote a learning environment that is inclusive, where all have a sense of belonging and are treated with dignity.
We have several outstanding educational pathways for students to learn and develop their interests in various careers. As a Project Lead the Way school, our STEM A2 Magnet Program offers a variety of STEM courses such as Design and Modeling, Agriscience, Green Architecture, Computer Coding, Aerospace, Computer Applications, (offering Industry Certifications), and Engineering. Students who have an interest in the Arts can explore our band, orchestra, chorus, art and theatre programs.
The Hawks Academy for Gifted and Advanced Studies is technologically rigorous and an innovative program which engages students in a multitude of hands-on field experiences integrating all academic content areas from the environmental science perspective. Courses include Bio-technology, Physical Science Honors (High School Credit), Advanced Math, Algebra 1 (High School Credit), and Geometry (High School Credit).

2024 “I Voted” sticker design competition for high school and middle school students
Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner announced that he is challenging middle school and high school students to design a new, unique “I Voted” sticker for Sarasota County voters.
