PTO Minutes
February 7, 2008

President Stephanie Fisher called the meeting to order at 7:50. We planned on starting early today because of the literacy presentation.

Secretary’s report was approved with motions made by Beth McKinnon and Molly McFarlane.

Treasurer’s report was approved with motions made by Bethany Beebe and Molly McFarlane.

Literacy week presentation by Bethany Beebe gave us all a great overview of what the week could look like for our students, our families and the community. A motion made by Molly and seconded by Theresa Baus was made to approve $5,500 for the Literacy week budget. The date for the event is May 2 – 9. Bethany will be checking with Steven Kellogg’s people to see what his expenses could possibly run. Bethany will get back to the PTO on this.

Sweetheart Supper is planned for tonight with 492 meals pre-paid for. Their will be about 60 meals available on a first come first serve bases. Monica requested anyone able to stay after today’s meeting to help hang signs and that she will need any help she can get starting at 2:00 PM today.

Indian Run plans are well under way by Theresa Baus and Paula Carney. We will be having “sippy” bottles this year. The plan is to have items assigned to dollar amounts for the prizes. The date for the run in March 28. Part of the dollars made will be marked for the shade coving for the front of the school.

Our next meeting is planned for March 6, 2008 at 8:00AM.
