Jogathon	JOGATHON - Jogathon 2008 will kick off with a high energy party on Friday, October 24. The Jogathon itself will be on Friday, November 14th. Raffle tickets for the "most sought after car parking space" will be $10 each or 6 for $50 and sold daily! Banner space will also be sold on a first come first served basis - for $150 we will display your corporate or personal banner (max size 4x6) from kickoff until the event itself. The theme for this year is OLYMPICS and the deadline for artwork for the T-shirt contest is Wednesday, September 17. If you have not already volunteered for the jogathon committee and would like to help please contact Karin Leereveld 232 9955.
Yearbook	YEARBOOKS - The 2008-09 Southside ALL-COLOR Yearbook is now available for pre-ordering online. All students who purchase their copy online before October 1st will receive their name permanently foil-stamped on their front cover ($5 value). You must select this option when completing your transaction at: www.YearbooksOnSale.com There will be additional opportunities to purchase the Yearbook both online and on-campus but this is the ONLY chance to get their name on their cover for FREE! Don’t Miss Out!
Boxtops	BOXTOPS - Thank you to all the families that diligently clipped Box Tops last year. The program was a huge success. We reached our goal and this year we would like to do even better. In order to save paper we are asking families to send in their box tops in baggies or envelopes. Additionally, in order to expedite the process, please include your child’s name, teacher’s name and grade, and how many box tops you are sending in to us. Just like last year, we will be giving the winning class for each grade a “treat” at the end of the month. Finally, if we reach our goal of $3500.00 we will give the class that sent in the most box tops for the entire year, a pizza party. So make sure you save all of your box tops and ask friends and family to save them too!!!!
