SWEET CELEBRATION

On Monday, November 17th there will be a "Sweet Celebration" for our ESOL Honor Students. We will be honoring twenty six students who have earned a 3.5 or higher and another twenty six students who have a G.P.A. between 3.0 and 3.4. Congratulations to these students! The celebration will be in the West Cafeteria from 7:00-8:00 p.m.

PROGRESS REPORTS

Progress Reports will be distributed in TAP class by community on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 24 & 25. CHECK THEM OUT!

INTENSIVE READING TEACHER RECOGNIZED

Congratulations to Nancy Sherk, Intensive Reading Teacher. She has been recognized as one of the top 85 teachers in Florida whose students made the most learning gains in reading in 2007-2008. Both her Level I and Level II reading students made significant progress. Great Job!

MAYOR'S FEED THE HUNGRY FOOD DRIVE

For the next two weeks we will be collecting canned goods for the Mayor's Feed The Hungry Food Drive. The Student Government is looking forward to record setting participation this year for this very important community activity. Students should bring their donations to their 1st block.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

The National Honor Society inducted 118 new members on Wednesday, November 12th. CONGRATULATIONS! See the Mainsail (December Issue) for specific names of students. The NHS Silent Auction will be from February 17 through March 13. If you have items to donate i.e., gift certificates (restaurant, hotel, travel, etc.), gift baskets, services...Please contact Pat Ahearn.
