Before Care available beginning at 7:15 AM

A Before School Program is provided for the convenience of working parents.  Before School supervision and activities are provided in the cafeteria from 7:15-8:15 a.m.  Students must be signed in by an adult in order to attend.  Students who attend regularly must be registered for the program.  No student should arrive before 7:15 a.m. due to lack of supervision.  Students who arrive before 7:15 or who display inappropriate behavior may be removed from the program at the discretion of the school.  The fee for the Before School program, set by the Sarasota County School Board, is $4.00 per child/per day payable to Southside Elementary School.

 After School Care (Adventure Club)

The Adventure Club is an after school enrichment program for Southside K-5th grade students.  The program is available each day that school is in session from 3:15 – 6:00 p.m.  The program is also available on teacher in-service days.  The Adventure Club is run by the Sarasota Family YMCA on the grounds of Southside.  Homework assistance, crafts, and supervised sports are enjoyed by the students.  It is the parent’s responsibility to inform the teacher on which day the student will attend Adventure Club.  For more information or to register, contact the Southside Adventure Club at 809-1280 or the YMCA at 952-9533.
