·                     Shari VU and Anita White have finished the 5 Star School Award portfolio, and they shared the results with SAC.

·                     Bethany Beebe updated SAC on the events of Literacy Week. Author visits have been well-received, and the door decorating contest has been a huge hit. SAC members were encouraged to tour the school to look at doors.

·                     Shari VU asked SAC members to provide her with feedback about this year's committeee. Surveys were provided for members to fill out if they wish.

·                     Lisa Phifer and Deb Kontor were recognized for the 6 year terms they have both served as VES SAC members, and they were presented with flowers as a token of our thanks.

·                     All SAC members were recognized for their service this year and presented with Starbucks gift cards.

·                     Recent SAC election results were announced. The following people were elected by the PTO to serve on next year's SAC: Christy Cain, Jennifer Dayo, Linda Johnson, Karen Mercurio, Erika Natale, Dorothy Pollock, and Cindy Toepfer.

·                     Laura Singer was announced as the new SAC Community representative. She is the owner of Laura’s Book Store, an Usbourne Book distributor.

·                     Mrs. Baus informed SAC that she will have a schedule for next year's meetings as soon as the district has announced their schedule.

·                     The VES Vision was shared by 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade teachers.
