Ms. Slane shared that Publix has asked that we host the Mother’s Day Cake fundraiser again this year.  Publix will provide all of the supplies for students to make cakes for someone special. The cost of each cake has yet to be determined.

Principal’s Update

Mrs. Kahler shared that fourth graders are in the middle of FCAT Florida Writes.

The cafeteria incentive program is progressing very well.  Every month there are classes with perfect scores.  It is the opinion of the administration that with the increased adult supervision and the incentive program, behavior issues have decreased.

Mrs. Curriell shared that unfortunately the Families Learning Together program will not continue at Tuttle this semester.  It will continue at Emma Booker Elementry where child care will be provided. It is possible that they will start again next fall.

Dr. Buchanan shared a request for assistance with financial support for Teleparent next year.  This would increase parent communication by teachers.  This issue will be discussed in more depth when more information becomes available regarding fees and overall costs.

The next SAC meeting is March 12, 2008.  A motion was made by Ms. Slane at 8:10 to end the meeting.  The motion was seconded by Mrs. Kahler.
