SAC Members:

New Business:

The budget proposal for 2007-08 was presented to SAC for review and approval.  TMT has already met and approved the plan.  In order to implement the plan, Dr. Hal Nelson issued a waiver.  The plan allows for funds allocated to Counselors/Home School Liaison positions (2.8) to be used for the Behavior Specialist position.  Discretionary funds will be used too make the .2 differences. This would give Tuttle Elementary 1 guidance counselor, 1 Behavior Specialist, 1 Home School Liaison, and ESOL teaches.  There will also be an additional ESE paraprofessional next year. 

 

Mary Beth Slane put the motion to the members to accept the presented plan as stated above.  Maria Rodriguez seconded the motion.  The motion was passed unanimously. 

 

Treasury Report:  Currently, we have $1408.85 left in our budget.

 

Lisa Styers made a request for $500 to purchase award ribbons.  It was recognized that this was an important part of the PE curriculum.  Dr. Buchanan put forth the motion to fund the purchase of the ribbons.  Diana Cox seconded the motion.  The motion passed unanimously.

 

Dr. Buchanan reminded all present of the upcoming school carnival.  He asked that volunteers donate at least an hour of their time to assist with booths.

 

MaryBeth Slane made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:00.  Diana Cox seconded the motion.  The meeting was adjourned at 8:00. The final SAC meeting of the 2006-2007 school year will be May 15, 7:45.  We will be reviewing and revising the Parent Contract for the upcoming school year.
