Minutes of the October 24th meeting accepted

 

Supplements/Stipends

  • Draft of Supplement distribution handed out for perusal & approval
  • The plan is to use all allocated funds in as close of a way to be in alignment with SIP
  • It was moved and seconded that proposal be accepted as presented 
  • Plan will be sent electronically to SAC/SDMT members to share with team members

 

New Tech Lab

  • ILS/Success Maker Coordinator will be Mrs. Diane Platt
    • The plan is to have six tech labs up and running within the next three years
    • Two Labs will be up and running before the end of this year
    • ILS (Individual Learning Style) labs should start with 24 to 28 stations in each
    • Classes will be in the lab 2 to 5 times per week
  • District agreed to fund the facility upgrades and hardware
  • Tech Labs will:
    • Allow time for teachers to conference with students looking at data
    • Assist in identifying weaker areas of students and how to use program to assist
  • Would like School Improvement dollars to help purchase the SuccessMaker program
  • Will lobby district for assistance in funding some of necessary software
  • Staff training may be funded from allocated training funds
  • Moved & Second to accept the use of needed SIP dollars to fund Success Maker software

 

Passport Dismissal Procedure

  • Passports will:
    • Pre-approved dismissal procedure
    • Help minimize interruption to classrooms during school day (especially the end)
    • Instruction goes on in the classroom until the end of the day…as does testing
  • Currently from 2:45 - 3:45 students are not to be picked up - now parents are arriving between 2:00 - 2:45 to pick up students
  • Allowances must always be made for emergencies - there will be exceptions to the rules
  • Parents would be given a pass to give the teacher and retrieve their children themselves
  • Anyone without approved identification should be stopped on the campus
  • Would like to begin advertising a Passport program
  • Primary goal is student safety & sacred instructional time for all students
  • Student location is a known i.e. lunch, specials - student could be waiting in the office if the class is out of the room
  • Student prepared to leave with proper books & backpacks
  • Moved & seconded that Passport program be pursued
  • CR to bring draft proposal back to group for review

 

SIP

  • Brochure will be put together with goals for all
  • Unsure of whether we will be a Title school or not

 

Zomerang

  • Results will be given to Team Leaders to share results with teams
  • FANTASTIC instrument! Easy to use and feedback VERY helpful for planning purposes
  • Could feedback be retrieved for the passport system thru survey instrument

 

SOS

  • They will be adding 30+ surveillance cameras to the campus in next 3 mos.
  • Signage too
  • Parents to be made aware
