  • Introduction/Welcome

  • Would like to send minutes and agenda via email
  • Meetings tentatively scheduled for one hour
  • Next meetings will be set at the end of current meeting
  • Child Care for SAC members
  • Should you have difficulty finding child care arrangements can be made to work with after care at no charge…please let Mr. Renouf know if this is a need.
  • Members children may stay in the media center, behavior and material permitting

 

Draft copy of Operational Guidelines distributed

  • Feedback
  • All grade levels in agreement
  • Motion made & seconded to accept SAC/SDMT Operational Guidelines as distributed
  • These guidelines will be distributed to all members via email as approved
  • Guidelines will eventually be posted on the Toledo Blade Web Site

 

Staff training outlined staff members (30 hours)

  • ESE would like to see if training for inclusion and Project Read could be included
  • All grade levels in agreement
  • This will be included in the TB School Improvement Plan

 

SIP

  • Is a plan that sets goals for areas that the school will focus on for the school year
  • Goals will be based on data collected from last years performance
  • The draft is due on Friday – it will be presented to SAC/SDMT at the next meeting in its entirety

 

School Recognition

  • Toledo Blade received a grade of A based on data collected by the State of Florida
  • Instructional and classified staff representatives will be working with Mr. Renouf to determine a process and a sampling of proposals as to how the School Recognition Dollars might be used.
  • Next SAC meeting will not be held on the third Tuesday of the month
  • To allow time to work with the staff regarding this issue the next SAC meeting is scheduled for October 24th
  • With the minutes we will forward the state statute on school recognition along with frequently asked questions.
  • If SAC parents would like to schedule a time to meet with Mr. R. to explain the way a school is given a grade of A and the federal AYP information
  • If a decision is not made by November 1st the bonus is given only to current instructional staff
  • School Recognition Discussions will begin with staff and move on to include the SAC
