E-Mail Message RE: Staff Vote

The meeting was called to order at 3:35 p.m. by Vice-Chairperson, John Gammaro.

Review of Award Letter

ü Southside received an “A” grade for outstanding academic performance during the 2005-2006 school year.

ü We were awarded the amount of $66,912.

Discussion of E-Mail Message Regarding Staff Vote

ü Staff voted by Ballot to determine a proposal for the distribution of the award money.

ü 38 Votes were received for “Equal Share To All Employees” (with half-time employees receiving 1/2 share).

ü 31 Votes were received for “Full Share-Instructional & Half Share-Classified”.

ü 2 Votes were received for “20% to School & 80% Equal Share to All”.

ü The proposal of “Equal Share to All” was sent to SAC for approval.

Discussion of Staff Proposal for Distribution of Award Money

ü A Motion was made to accept the staff proposal of “Equal Share to All” for distribution to the 2005-2006 staff members.

ü The Motion was seconded and unanimously approved.

ü It was noted that due to construction constraints and difficulties experienced by staff during the 2005-2006 school year, the teamwork, dedication and professionalism shown by the staff, SAC approved the award money distribution being used as a “staff bonus” for these funds.

The next SAC meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 26, 2006 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Main Office.

Jeanne Medawar adjourned the meeting at 3:50 p.m.
