Meeting Called to Order

Chuck Evans Called the meeting to order at 2:13 P.M.

 

Budget Items 2004-05

  1. Includes all 2003-2004 positions
  2. Add athletic trainer
  3. Add literacy coach
  4. Add 1 additional guidance counselor
  5. Includes Career Counselor

Have already been funded

  1. Add 1 English Teacher

Will wait until the middle of June to advertise

  1. Add 1 Social Studies Teacher
  2. Add 1 Foreign Language Teacher

Enrollment lower than anticipated will wait to advertise

  1. Add 1 Reading Teacher
  2. Add 2 ESE Teachers 

Contingent on enrollment

  1. Add 1 Critical Thinking/Gifted/Research Teacher
  2. Ninth grade alternative program – 2 teachers

Will have numbers the first week in May

  1. Add 1 Security Aide

Will utilize bus drivers again

  1. Add Career/College Scholarship Advisor

May be funded partly by SAC, AP and IB

  1. Credit Recovery Teacher

Yes; offers 22 different courses including FCAT remediation at a cost of $20,000 per year plus staff salary

  1. Add 1 A3 PE aide
  2. Add .6 Art

Both numbers 16 and 17 are contingent on number of students.  We will need at least 75 more students.

 

The above budget items were all agreed upon and the meeting was adjourned at 3:25P.M.
