Chuck Evans called the meeting to order at 2:05 p.m.
The minutes of the October 23, 2003 meeting were approved as written.
Linda would see this person as a Riverview High School resource expert and all college recruiters would go through him/her. Students would schedule times on their lunch hour and appointments should only take 5-10 minutes. Guidance counselors would continue to explain financial aid options; this person would be a resource only.
Venice High School is sponsored by the Venice Rotary and uses a computer scholarship program similar to Fast Web. Because of how it is funded, it is a separate entity and has a Board that leads the program. A visit to Venice High School has been set up for 11/18/03 at 11:00 a.m.
It was agreed that Riverview is in need of a resource program.

Linda reported that the senior class was surveyed, and less than half voted to change the venue for graduation. Graduation will be held at Robarts Arena on May 22, 2004 at 3:00 p.m.
Deb Davis and Judy Meksraitis requested $1200.00 for 300 workbooks. Approved as requested.
Melinda Sutter requested $1100.00 for a pocket module that goes along with the program funded by the district. This module will help track books. Approved as requested.
It was decided that all requests less than $5,000.00 would go through and be approved by Linda Nook, and a report prepared by Linda and Judi Ex will be presented to SAC of monies allotted. Anything over $5,000.00 must be presented to SAC.
The SAC National Conference to be held in Nashville December 9 12, 2003, has been put on hold due to the untimely dates. There is a possibility that Linda may be able to have a representative come to Riverview to do a presentation.
It was decided that this course would be cut from 2 teachers to 1 teacher.
The next meeting will be held in the Omni Science room on December 11, 2003.
The meeting adjourned at 3:25 p.m.
Respectfully submitted by: Bonnie Sullivan
