The SAC/Management Team met on Monday, November 8, 2004 at 4:00 pm. 

 

People in attendance were:

Dave Niederpruem, Lea Kitchener, Terri Chivington, Kathleen Powers, Susan Lomas, Sandra Washington, Anna Mulligan, Phyllis Frederic, Jan Komara

 

School Improvement Plan – Turned in and is in process of being approved.  There are still some questions about the Teacher Staff Development components.  Because this is the first year, the procedure wasn’t completely clear.

 

Golf Tournament – Phyllis Frederic gave the information that the Golf Tournament is May 14, 2004 at Stoneybrook Country Club.  Mr. Bohan’s son is the golf pro there and will help us set up.  It will be a BBQ menu.  Need lots of help, setting up, registration, silent auction, children’s posters, setting up prizes, getting prizes/donations from organizations and businesses.  Help from SueEllen Crawford, Penny Delarme, Vern Wersma as a player, Traci.  The PTSO will assign areas to each volunteer.  Need to get letters written from PTSO that Terri Chivington and Jan Komara will sign in regards to donations and contributions.  Need to get together a flyer, the sponsors and photos.  Need to set up the committees before January 3, 2005.  We will have a committee meeting to set up committees.  What committees to have.

 

Literacy Night – November 30th6:00 pm pizza, soft drinks.  Come see Science Fair and Book Fair will be set up in the hallway.  Literacy and music on the stage for about half hour.  Kids performing, kids coming back at night to perform, get free prizes for kids, free books.  Stacey will have lab open at 6:30 – software up.  Marie and Jim will display mosaics to sell, Lea and Angie Japan presentation at 8:30 – on Smart Board – Lea has to figure out with time change.

Meeting with Dr. Norris starts at 7:00 until 8:30.

 

School Improvement Plan:

 

Handout given to Sandra Washington with explanation of how the School Improvement Plan is important.  Fall and Spring when money is set up for next year for staffing, big project.

 

Suggested not to meet in December – golf tournament committee will meet for set up and Lea seconded.
