Officers are the same as Co-Chairs.  The Staff Co-Chair is Jan Komara.  The Parent Co-Chair is Susan Lomas as selected by group.  Anna Mulligan is taking notes.

School Improvement Plan:

Handouts given out to each person.  Statistics are from the state, where we are.  FAAR pulled us up.  Lea Kitchener and Jan Komara are working on the state plan.  Professional growth and development – 30 hours out of school time for their own growth which helps student achievement plan.  Inservices are also occurring during professional days and inservice credit can be earned with study groups (many people did this last year).  Submitted plans, which were approved.  DAT Team making books, how will they learn, still being discussed.  Is plan indepth enough to be approved?

Pg 25 of plan – number of groups meet here family outreach, autistic.

Secondary reading teachers will need reading certification by 2006.  4/6 sessions 300 hours.  Concensus of advisory council that this is our plan?

PTSO – Carol Dixon would like to do a cookbook with recipes, drawings, etc. kids participate – Terry will go more indepth with Carol: how to pay to produce.  Janice thinks it would be hard to even finish by end of school year, should get started now for next sale by Holiday.

Oak Park South growth district meeting – planning to move students next year from Pro Team.  District Vision: Oak Park South stand alone vs part of another school?  Our population has strong feelings about continuing with Center Schools – Discussion of Attendance: population coming and going, varied population lines between teams is blurring.

5:30 meeting adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,

Anna Mulligan & Beth Bourbeau
