A+ Recognition Program Schelly Shaughnessy
A review of the status of the A+ money distribution was presented by Mrs. Schelly Shaughnessy, SDMT chairperson. SAC’s charge today is to discuss the options and provide direction and a decision relative to the wishes of the MMS Shared Decision Making Team. SDMT recommendation was that all funds should be shared equally among all staff members.

SAC members agreed that 100% of funds should go to staff ‘bonuses’, and also agreed on the process for prorating to staff who were here last year, as well as those who worked part of the year. Mr. Hagemann’s office will do all the computation based on service.

Funding Request Conference Sylvia Avalos APPROVED

Mrs. Avalos requested $540.03 to attend a Language Arts conference. She plans to share information with LA teachers. A discussion ensued regarding complete funding for sharing of rooms for conferences, whether room fees will be covered if rooms are not shared and reasons why. Staff is encouraged to review ‘sharing of rooms for conferences’ recommendations before requests are made to SAC. Individual room funding in some cases may not be approved in certain situations.

Funding Request Kagen Training Heather DeMao, Amy Durfee APPROVED

Ms DeMao and Durfee requested $1530.00 to cover trainers and materials for Kagen Training. At least 18 staff members have signed up to be trained on Saturday November 18the, followed by six, one hour “Kagen of the Month” follow-up sessions to be held before school over the next six months. This training counts an in-service salary credit for all who attend.
