HERON CREEK MIDDLE SCHOOL SAC MEETING

November 1, 2007

Present: Matt Davis, Jean Thompson, Lynsey Davis, Mercedes Monaco, Theresa Tatko, Carlos Albino, Jeremy Fant, Ted Watson, Vince Dennen

Minutes of October 11, 2007 SAC meeting were reviewed and approved.

New Business:

Request for funds for Florida Music Educators Conference in Tampa in January were requested for Raymond Wilson and Seth Gardner and possibly four students. Motion approved for $901 to attend conference.

Request for funds for history fair boards for HCMS students to participate in the history fair. Motion approved for $623.70 to cover half the costs of boards.

Request for funds for Beth Fred to attend “Hands on Activity-Bring Science to Life” workshop in Orlando in December. Motion approved for $319.00 to cover the costs of registration and a sub for one day.

Mary Jorge, Instructional Technology Facilitator, requested approval for $8,000 of the A+ Award money be used to purchase 7-8 laptops for students who will be using them for credit retrieval purposes. SAC approved the request.

Nancy Cope, Media Specialist, requested approval for $8,000 of the A+ Award money to puchase books for students for the media center. SAC approved the request.
