SAC Meeting

March 8, 2007

Present: Cheri Dennen, Vince Dennen, Katherine Sogolow, Kimberly Deeb, Scott Wilson, Ted Watson, David Leyson, Mario Ponticelli, Brenda Niswander

Minutes of 2/1/07 meeting were reviewed and approved.

New Business:

Concerns for security at the bike cage were discussed and security cameras are scheduled to be installed soon and should alleviate problems.

Freedom Team requested funds for bus transportation and admission to attend Mote Marine in Sarasota. Motion approved for $577.00 to cover expenses.

Elvena Smith requested modification of SAC approved funds for NCTM Annual Conference. Motion approved for additional $135 to attend conference.

The distribution of proceeds from magazine fundraiser were discussed and approved.

Each team will receive $400 and each encore class will receive $400, which will be used to benefit students in the classroom.

Katherine Sogolow withdrew her request for funds.

Mr. Wilson’s principal report included information regarding the award HCMS received as the Florida State School of Character and that HCMS is a finalist for the National Award as well.

FCAT T-shirts have been ordered and received and will be distributed to students who

Score Level 4/5 on FCAT.
