SAC Meeting

Attendance: Kimberly Deeb, Richelle Taylor-Harris, Brenda Niswander, Ted Watson, Derek Jenkins, Katherine Perrault-Sogolow, Vincent Dennen, Cheri Dennen, Carlos Albino, Mario Ponticelli

Minutes of SAC meeting of 9/20/06 were reviewed and approved.

New Business:

Request for funds for Darlene Rossetti and Jennifer Johnson (PE teachers) to attend

FAHPERDS conference in Orlando in October. Motion approved for $240 to cover the cost of two substitute teachers for one day.

Request for funds for Derek Jenkins for 3 complete book sets of “Triumph and Tragedy in History”. Motion approved for $403.65 to cover the cost of books and shipping.

Request for funds for Raymond Wilson to attend Allstate Chorus Competition in Tampa in January. Motion approved for $760.00 to cover cost of hotel (2 nights) and substitute for 3 days.

A++ Award distribution plan (results of ballot) were discussed and motion was approved for HCMS staff to vote on Tuesday, October 10^th from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (with a non-school board employee present to help count votes when polling stops at 5:00 p.m.)

Staff will approve/disapprove: 20% of funds to be distributed back to the school; 80% of the funds to be distributed evenly among certified and classified staff who were at HCMS last school year and this year, to include one retired employee and employees who were involuntarily surplused (does not include newly hired staff for 2006-2007 school year).
