Old Business: Re-vote on SAC (PTO parent) member. Ballots have not yet been received, deadline extended until November 21, 2003.

Draw up contract for Secretary to be paid $25.00 per meeting.

New Business: Science teachers request funding for STARLAB (portable planetarium from Pineview School). 10 teachers have been trained, cost is $50/day, requesting 12 days usage at a total cost of $600.00. Motion approved for funding.

Climate Survey: Discussion of type of surveys available. Motion approved to utilize Sarasota County survey and add questions relating to

Community of Caring and minority diversity.

FCAT reward money: discussion regarding how to spend FCAT

reward monies.

SAC policy for request for funds: Discussion regarding process teachers would need to follow to request funds for field trips and workshops for teachers. SAC should prioritize what requests to consider.

Josh Lozada will bring suggestions for guidelines for HCMS dances

at next meeting.

Poinsettia Parade: December 13 HCMS will be represented in parade (float, banner, etc.)

21st Century trophy case for athletic/academic recognition
