The eighth meeting of the 2007/08 Gocio SAC was held at 3:30 with the following 14 members present:
Brenda Aguayo, Sarah Booth, Antoinette
Bush, Barbara Cooke,
Audrey Davis, Pamela Davis, Steve Dragon, Deborah
Fipps,
Julie Harrell, Rana Hodges, Shirley Osgood, Martha
Sammuelson,
Angela Smithson, and Debra
Voege.
The
minutes of the April 22 meeting were read silently. Debra Voege made a motion to accept them,
which was seconded by Rana Hodges. SAC
approved them.
The
Teacher Climate Survey with comments, the Parent Climate Survey with comments,
and the Classified Climate Survey with comments were all read silently. A discussion followed. It was noted that the school mean was on a
par with the district mean for a majority of the statements. There were a total of fifty-nine comments on
strengths and a total of thirty-nine comments concerning improvements. One item that was noted as a concern on all
the surveys was the condition of the restrooms.
There
was a discussion concerning returning SAC members for the upcoming school
year. There was a reminder that a
two-year term is recommended. Steve
Dragon thanked everyone for his or her participation in SAC for the 2007-08
school year.
A
motion for adjournment was made by Debra Voege and seconded by Angela Smithson.
The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
