Angela Smithson, Maureen Taliento, and Debra Voege.

The minutes of the September 18 meeting were read silently.  Janice McLeod made a motion to accept them which was seconded by Ruth Rubinstein.  SAC approved them.

The proposals for dispersing the $91,000 from the Florida State Recognition Program were presented.  The proposals were written on chart paper and hung on the wall.  This made it possible to see the various proposals as they were being discussed.  The following teams presented proposals:

Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Instructional Support,

Specials, ESOL, Office, ESE, Guidance, Administration

Antoinette Bush made a motion to allow the parent members to meet in the hallway for five minutes to develop an additional proposal.  The motion was seconded by Brenda Aguayo.  SAC approved the motion.  After the five minute interval, Antoinette Bush presented the additional proposal for the parent group.

All SAC members were given three dots with which to vote.  Ruth Rubinstein made a motion that all three dots must go on separate proposals.  Deborah Fipps seconded the motion.  It was approved by a majority vote by SAC.  SAC members proceeded to vote with the dots.  Julie Harrell then counted the dots on each proposal and declared the three winning proposals.

Ruth Rubinstein made a motion that the proposals be typed without the name of the team who presented it.  Audrey Davis seconded the motion and SAC approved it.  The three winning proposals will be typed and placed in all staff mailboxes for perusal.  The voting will take place on Friday,  Oct. 26 and Monday, Oct 29.

A motion for adjournment was made by Kirsten Hazelton and seconded by Debra Voege.  The meeting adjourned at 4:57 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for 3:30 on Nov. 20, 2007.
