Minutes

OLD BUSINESS

1.    Approval of minutes

October Minutes were reviewed by all SAC members.  A request was made that we adhere to the SAC guidelines in reference to notification of agenda items.  Mr. Tompson accepted responsibility and requested e-mail address to send agendas to all members for review 48 hours prior to meetings.  Mr. Cheeseman motioned to approve the minutes, Mr. Maron seconded.  The motion carried.

2.    SAC Project for 2006-07

Ms. Baker reviewed the status of the Read 360 project.   April 17, 2007, was selected as the date of the Read 360 event.

NEW BUSINESS

1.    Mr. Romano reviewed the results of the quarterly progress monitoring survey and the impact on our School Improvement Plan.  Many indicators showed that improvements are being made.  The purpose of the quarterly survey is to provide the administration with continuous feedback.  Comments and results are taken into consideration and actions are taken to improve areas of concern.

2.  Mr. Tompson created a letter which was addressed to the School Board and

Dr. Norris in support of the positive changes that have occurred on

Glenallen’s campus since Mr. Romano has been the principal.  After much

discussion the committee agreed to put something in writing expressing

their concern to the School Board.  Consensus was reached that a draft

letter from SAC would be generated and reviewed at the next meeting.
