Garden Elementary SAC Minutes

Absent-Gary Gray, Archa Slavenburg, Shannon Via and Rachel Hallman

1) Welcome- Gabby O’Berry welcomed SAC members and began the meeting at 3:35

2) Budget- Gabrielle O’Berry reported that the May balance is $4,310.54. There were no questions or concerns, so the balance stands as reported. SAC agreed to continue to support Teacher Web, Renaissance, Character Ed and One Community-One Book for the upcoming 07/08 school year.

3) Staffing- John McQueen went over the staffing placements for the 07/08 school year. Mr. McQueen stated that with our test scores on the rise, a number of students that had utilized school choice and left Garden are returning.

4) Read Across Garden- All agreed that this was a huge success. Aggie Harrison suggested that next year it be held during a time that students can check out books.

5) Other- John McQueen informed us that security cameras will soon be installed on campus, both inside and out. Also, soon the entire perimeter of the campus will be fenced in.

6) Certificates- Certificates of Appreciation were distributed to SAC members.

7) Refreshments were served and the meeting adjourned at 4:15.
