SAC Minutes

1) Welcome & Review of Minutes by Annie Avrutis.

2) Review Progress Monitoring Testing -- Catherine, Data Coach

· Passed out the Assessment Descriptions and a Student Test Printout of an SRI test . We looked at confidential tests, which cannot be used for any other purposes other than SAC discussion.

3) School Safety – Discussed campus safety because of recent national events. Discussed safety at drop off and dismissal. Consider putting up “Please pull forward” signs and closing one Parent Pick-Up/Drop Off gate with yellow bungee cords when it’s not to be used.

4) Behavior Management Plans –

· There was a concern about older children in Building 5. We reviewed grade level discipline systems. Teachers identified issues with transition times, and developed a plan to monitor behavior during transitions.

· Discussed schoolwide implementation of the Safe and Orderly School Plan. Every teacher will be reminded to enforce the Safe and Orderly School Plan. Dr. Kingsley will bring copies for SAC members at the next meeting.

· Traffic in Building 5 “gang” bathrooms are a concern so a “One at a time” pass system was recently implemented similar to the plan in the cafeteria.

· Discussed putting a camera in the Building 5 hallway. Dr. Kingsley will look into possibilities.

5) Future Time of Day for Meeting – will be discussed.

6) Future Agenda Items – Share Safe and Orderly School Plan

The next meeting will be November 16^th @ 4:30.
