Joint SAC/ Staff Meeting for Florida School Recognition Funds

 

·         Ground Rules: Ginny opened the meeting by reviewing the format of this joint meeting of the School Advisory Council and the school staff.  The purpose of the meeting is to make a decision on the allocation of Florida School Recognition funds earned for the 2003-04 school year.  The Florida legislature calls for a joint decision of school staff and the School Advisory Council membership regarding the disbursal of Florida School Recognition Funds. 

 

The amount to be disbursed is $54,044

 

Our options for disbursal are the following:

         Non-recurring expenditures for educational equipment/supplies

         Non-recurring expenditure for personnel to assist the school in improving and/or maintaining student performance levels.

         Non-recurring staff bonuses

 

 Format:  Open discussion… all ideas and suggestions considered with courtesy and patience.

 

 

·         First Round – (three votes to narrow to the top 3 or 4 choices)

Bonus to all 03-04 staff,  prorated for the amount of service given to the school, including those who retired or left “in good standing.”  Bonus amounts evenly distributed.

 

 

REMINDER:  IMPORTANT SAC MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY (9/29/2004) to review and approve the 2004-05 Englewood Elementary School Improvement Plan.
