Discussion: Test schedule given to members present and overview of testing presented.  Using the Needs Assessment Data,

 

Mr. Fultz was able to give an overview of where our students are performing as a mid-year report.  The information was

 

discussed and conclusions where made as to where are students need to go in order to pass FCAT and meet the AYP

 

criteria.

Title I: Parent Compact, Parent Involvement Conference and State Audit

 

 

 

Discussion: Parent compact dispersed to all present and discussed.  Members discussed trying to get more parent

 

Involvement and support at school level.

 

 

 

Conclusions:  Two SAC parent members and one SAC staff member will attend the Parent Involvement workshop in

 

St. Petersburg to address different ways to try and get families involved.

Health Screening Readiness, Early Childhood Success Project (grant at Children’s Haven)

Discussion:  MCC grant for families of children birth to 9 years to improve awareness of access to and integration of 

 

Developmental screening and early intervention services to better identify and address any developmental

 

Difficulties or delays that are predictive of learning problems.

 ESOL Classes for Parents Starting 1-16-07

Wanda Calderon and Operation Graduation

 

 

Discussion: ESOL parents will be meeting to determine times and dates of future English as a second language classes for

 

Parents of our ESOL students.  The classes will be held in the Media Center and are being sponsored by a YMCA grant.

 

Training provided by Emma E. Booker Teachers as other ESOL teachers working together.

 

Conclusions: parents and students will be learning together.  Daycare provided.
