SAC MEETING MINUTES
Tuesday, April 22, 2008
The SAC committee was called to order by Don Cramer. Thank you notes from students for the donation from SAC to the Media Center were placed on each table for members to review.
Ms. Daniels presented an update on the uniforms that will be offered for sale at Cranberry next year since Beall’s will no longer be selling our logo shirts. We need several volunteers to assist with the distribution of the ordered shirts the first week of June, after school is out. We may offer a uniform exchange program for bottoms only. That has yet to be determined.
The state funding for SAC will be reduced next year from $10 per child to $5 per child, so our available funds will be less next year.
Ms. Daniels shared a PowerPoint to review the staffing allocations for the 2008-09 school year. The class size for K-3 will be a school average of (18-1) and the class size for 4-5 will be a school average of (22-1). ESOl teachers will not be assigned to teach ESOl exclusively but will return to teaching a regular homeroom class. We will no longer have a Technology Trainer on campus at all times. Trainers will be district based and will be assigned to more than one school each. Our student enrollment projection for next year is 850.
Our May meeting will be on May 13, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. with pizza as our snack.
Respectfully submitted,
Margaret Roberson, Secretary
