SAC MEETING MINUTES

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Don Cramer.  He introduced Ms. Daniels to begin a PowerPoint presentation on Amendment One.  After the presentation Don Cramer led a discussion on the pros and cons of the amendment. 

 

Ms. Daniels then highlighted the many things Cranberry is doing in preparation for the FCAT testing which will take place in February (4th grade Writing) and March (3rd -5th grade Reading, Math, Science).  Our fourth and fifth grade teachers are offering tutoring classes before and after school for interested students.  Our Data Coach and Literacy Coach will be offering tutoring for selected third grade students.  The Cross-Age Tutorial Program which involves teens from the community working one-on-one with 3-5th grade students three Saturdays, February 23, March 1, and March 8.  Ms. Daniels and Mr. Carey are working each week with selected students during their lunch time to help them with reading.  Ms. Daniels is also working with a group of fourth grade students each week to increase writing skills.  A Writing workshop will be held for all fourth grade students on Saturday, February 9, 2008.  Cranberry has great expectations for our students to do well on the assessments
