SAC MEETING MINUTES

Tuesday, October 4, 2005

The meeting was called to order by Don Cramer, President. Mr. Cramer began with a power point presentation of the School Advisory Council Orientation. Ms. Daniels followed up the presentation with ways the SAC could monitor the SIP Goals. There was discussion of how to know what the different grade levels are doing. It was suggested that quarterly reports from the grade levels and areas that are a part of the FCAT Testing and SIP Goals. Such as; Fourth Grade – Writing, Fifth Grade, and Mrs. Dame – Science, and Third, Fourth, and Fifth – Reading and Math. It was suggested that perhaps we could create a schedule for these presentations for quarterly reports. Ms. Daniels will work on this. The committee then reviewed specific goals in other areas such as The Arts, Technology, Careers, Citizenship, and Family and Community Involvement and how we would begin to monitor and make sure we are working together to achieve these goals. The meeting was then adjourned at 8:45 a.m.
