The minutes from the November 13, 2003 meeting were reviewed.  Alex Cornell motioned to accept the minutes and Tracy Witzer seconded the motion.  Consensus was reached.

Karen Chester reviewed the budget with a current balance of $5,072.00

Karen Rose discussed the possibility of an upcoming fundraiser to benefit Brookside’s Arts, Music and Theater programs.  The PTSO has tentatively agreed to chair the event if a final approval is reached.  Further discussions will take place to determine Brookside’s commitment.  Additional information will follow.

Joe Bazenas discussed upcoming FCAT training for all teachers during their planning periods.

Deb Markley spoke about Arts Day, which is March 26, 2004.  There will be approximately 30 artists represented.  This year the Arts Day will expand to include the entire school community.  The artists will explain their craft with the teams, who will then take the information and apply it to the educational studies in the classroom.  More public relations is needed before and after the show.  Students will benefit by being more involved.  Mentors could be used to teach the students how the PR is done to generate information about the event.  Deb will forward Traci Douberly information about Arts Day and she will forward to Alex Cornell.

There were no further questions or concerns.

The meeting adjourned at 3:05 p.m.
