PTO Meeting
Meeting was called to order at
Welcome: Sign-in sheet was passed around.
Secretary’s Report:
*The minutes
from March’s meeting were read by Shelly Kilduff. The minutes were then seconded and accepted.
Treasurer’s Report:
Britt
Galipault read the report for March and YTD.
-Fun
Run: $28.03 – this does NOT include any
per lap pledges which are yet to be billed.
-Highlights
include:
*Wachovia
checking balance as of
*Petty
cash balance: $81.51
*Net
income for March (unreconciled): $2,183.42
*Net
income YTD: $780.06
***There are still several teachers who have not yet claimed their student
allotments. If you know one of these
teachers, please let them know that they can claim $6.00 per student to offset
classroom expenses they have personally incurred.
New Business:
*Mrs.
Henderson personally recognized and gave thanks to PTO for all their hard work
with various activities, fundraisers, and events.
*We
will be having another Family Skate Night at
*Open
House for this coming school year (2006-07) will possibly include food donated
by Longhorn Steakhouse. PTO will then
sell food/dinner that night to help raise money. We are also looking at having Mindy Simmons
being the entertainment that night as parents wait to go inside the book
room. PTO is also considering having
Mindy Simmons entertain parents and students at next year’s Kindergarten round
up.
Spring Fling:
*All
booths/games are taken now and a large map of where each booth will be set up
was displayed for those present to see.
All booths must be picked up by
*Tickets
are required for every booth and ticket bags of $5, $10, $15, & $20 are
being made ahead of time for this event.
*Shells
Restaurant will be selling food this year which includes:
Shrimp
pasta - $6.50
Chicken
pasta - $6.50
Buttered
pasta - $5.50
(all
white sauce and includes a roll and Caesar salad)
Meal
orders will be sent home with students and all monies received for this should
be taken directly to Monica Serino in the office.
*Mr.
Kluk is our designated chairperson for the Silent Auction Baskets. The baskets are to be made by the classroom
(if they choose to do so) and all proceeds made will go directly to the
classroom it was made by.
*Book
Fair will be held this night in Jill Spence’s room. It is chaired this year by Michelle Walsh and
she needs volunteers/help setting up and a sign up sheet is located in the
teacher workroom.
