We had 302 skaters that attended.  We would like to schedule another one.  April 20th was mentioned as a possibility as this date would not interfere with any important testing dates for teachers and students.

PALS Update:

Viola Cashmore wanted to remind all teachers to make sure that their volunteers sign in each day and are PALS approved.

New Business:

- Mr. McRae shared with PTO how the P.E. dept. has lost several pieces of equipment over the last few years and was asking if our PTO would be willing to donate/contribute $5,000 to help cover the replacement cost of needed equipment. The equipment ordered by the whole school totaled $14,000 and the county only covered $2,000 of this cost.

*Stacey Blackwell motioned for all those in favor and it was then seconded and approved by PTO.

 - Mrs. Green mentioned an upcoming field trip scheduled for March 1st at the Van Wezel.  She was requesting that PTO help cover the cost of 20 children unable to pay for the cost of this trip.

*Stacy Blackwell motioned for all those in favor and it was then seconded and approved.

Fun Run Update:

- Mrs. Lopez mentioned to PTO that the t-shirts have been ordered and will arrive in time for the Fun Run on March 24th.  *This date for the Fun Run has since been changed to Friday March 17th due to the large number of staff and administration attending the FTEC that next week.

-Mrs. Lopez currently has 9 volunteers and needs more for every grade level.  Another volunteer letter for Fun Run will be distributed and sent home soon.

-Special area teachers will be asked to count tallies on back of cards during their planning periods.

-Mrs. Lopez was wondering about the prizes for the Fun Run – approx. 25% of students receive a prize.

-We will be having a “Tropical” theme for this event.  New games and ideas will be needed.

-Scheduled for April 28th from 5:00-8:00.
