Agenda: School Improvement Plan 2004-2005

A review of the 2004-2005 SIP which included an addendum

Regarding professional development; the additional 30 hr.

plan for Booker High School instructional staff.

Professional Learning Communities; Small Learning Communities

Program and regular curriculum are being incorporated campus-wide,

With the emphasis on teaching strategies which enable students to learn.

Focus for professional development: Use of data driven information;

Collaboration between school base committee and staff, including support

staff; shared mission values; Booker High school Mission Statement to be

updated to incorporate the Professional Learning Community format.

Staff School Base Decision Committee will be holding a Seminar on

January 3, 2005 to instruct “On The Block” training. The primary goal is

to reevaluate 90 minute teaching structure; adjust teaching strategies;

stop doing what does not work; follow-up and monitoring .

Next meeting Scheduled for January 21, 2005.
