Small Learning Communities - Presentation by Amy Petz
Ms. Petz enlightened the SAC
committee members with a Small Learning
Communities power point
presentation. An open discussion followed with
regard to Booker High's current and future implementation of this program.. Areas of concern were: funding, purpose,
impact, student
achievement
and the long range challenges facing
students and staff .
The SAC committee will continue to receive up-dates
on the Small
Learning Communities programs and assist with
expansion of the program
through the School Improvement Plan.

Improvement Plan - 2002 - 2003 - 2004
Dr. Jack McDonald presented the SAC committee with
an update on the
Booker High School Improvement Plan 2002-2003. Booker High School surpassed its own
projections for the 2002-2003 School
Improvement Plan.
SAC committee informed of revisions necessary to the
Strategic Plan for Excellence in reading, mathematics, writing, and
career. Areas needing goals are art,
technology, science and social studies.
SAC committee must
Develop a plan
and decide how to meet the criteria and objectives set forth in our
School Improvement Plan for 2003 - 2004.
