· PTO
o Jog-a-Thon

· Safe & Orderly Schools – Ms. Boyd
o First Meeting held great discussion
o Playground expectations is the first topic they are tackling
REFERENDUM
· Great attendance at Feb PTO Meeting
· Special thanks to Harvey, Gwen, Mary, Anne and Eva for putting together a kids program while the presentation was being made to parents
· Decals will be distributed “outside the gate” on Friday
· Reminders will be distributed to families at student pickup, the Friday before the vote
· Thanks to Halle for representing Ashton School with CBS
· CBS & SCTA are manning a booth at the Farmers Market should you be interested contact Chris Mayer or Halle Ghose
· Coffee & Dialogue
o Special Thank You to Halle Ghose and Tammy Smalley for opening their homes
o Great feedback from parents on varied topics
o A means to reach parents who are not as comfortable at school
o Many of the concerns discussed, were “little” things that could make a good thing better
o Questions on the addition of 30 minutes to the student day next year
o The addition of this time will add 15 more days of focused instruction to the school year
o Opening & closing schedule will not be completed or published until after the Referendum
BUDGET &
STAFFING
· Budgets will probably not be distributed until after Spring Break
· There will be no March 21st S.A.C. Meeting – it will be re-scheduled for the Week of April 18th - Tentatively plan for two meetings that week – more will come when an actual distribution date is scheduled
· Will try to get some preliminary numbers to SAC members prior to the budget meetings
RENOVATION
· Will be starting moves right after Memorial Day
· K Building will be moved to cafeteria so the renovation can begin there
· Scheduled to be completed by the end of June
· Currently it appears that K, 1 & 3 will be in the building
o Reach portables will be the first to be removed as they are leased portables
o Other than that we have not been informed as to which other portables will be removed
CLIMATE
Meeting was adjourned at 3:38 PM with a tour of the construction site in Building 1
