Dear Oak Park Students, Parents, and other Advocates:

Oak Park is a wonderful environment for special needs students. The staff is warm and caring and dedicated, the parents are interested and supportive, and the school's instructional leaders (Roy Sanders, Michelle Trizano, Elizabeth Lewis, Deborah Downs, Janie Mustari, Jeff Brenner, Coreen Prochnow, Susan Rodgers, and Jane Closs) are innovative and work very hard to coordinate the school's services for their staff and students.

Our school is divided into a number of teams, which is assistive in helping us determine appropriate placements for students. Each team has a Leader who works closely with the school's ESE Liaisons to try to balance classes, review files and see that students' individual needs can be met in a particular environment, and who communicates needs back and forth between team members and administration.
