ESOL

The acronym ESOL stands for English for Speakers of Other Languages. Children who qualify for this program are automatically eligible for three years of service. Often, students will acquire the language at a more rapid rate and can exit the program earlier than three years. Likewise, students needing more that three years of service can receive up to six years of service. The ESOL teacher and aide support children, parents and teachers with strategies that help the children become successful in school.
