The Texcellence Program's operations are fully-funded by generous donors. We accept both monetary donations as well as computer hardware donations.
It costs $250 to get a computer into the hands of one of our students. The Education Foundation of Sarasota County will work with you to determine how many students you would like to support. To Donate Computers:
We are currently accepting monitors, speakers, keyboards, mouses, and hard drives.
All equipment must be in working condition. We accept donations in quantities of 10 and above. If you are looking to donate PCs, please see the following specifications to ensure that each student will receive the maximum benefits from their computers:
Computer Specifications:
- Processor: Pentium 4 or above
- RAM: 1 GB or more(random access memory)
- NIC: 10/100 (network interface card)
- USB: USB 2.0 (universal serial bus)
- Disk Drive: 30GB or more
- CD: Has a CD-R
- OS: Windows XP (has Microsoft label with serial #)
