Welcome to the Texcellence Program!

The Texcellence Program was created to ensure that every student in the Sarasota County School District has access to a computer at home. With the help of generous donors and the commitment of the Sarasota County School Board, the Texcellence Program has been vigorously working towards creating equal access to technology amongst all public school students.

Texcellence Mission
To ensure that all Sarasota County District Schools students have access to technology in their homes by creating parterships with various businesses and organizations throughout the community.

Texcellence 2009-2010 Vision Statement

The Texcellence program, through the continued support of the Education Foundation of Sarasota County and generous donors, strives to achieve the following goals by June of 2010:

Distribute 1,200 computers to Sarasota County students.
Establish a Texcellence Advisory Council.
Expand the Texcellence Tech Club into two more schools.
Explore the possible future expansion of Texcellence into another school district.
Provide up to one year of internet service to 400 families.
