High Schools
Because of the rigor, relevance and relationships emphasized by the district's NeXt Generation Learning strategic plan, high school graduates of Sarasota County Schools are ready for college and careers in the workforce, ready to assume active roles as citizens and community members, and instilled with enthusiasm and the ability to learn more.
The district's high schools are divided into Small Learning Communities, typically groups of about 300 students sharing similar academic interests. This approach helps students learn collaboratively with their peers, test their interests in various fields and develop their employability skills for the 21st century workplace.
