Thank you, thank you ASAP for donating that awesome scissor lift to use at our Renaissance Pep Rally. How cool was it to see Mrs. Henderson and Mr. Weida high in the sky throwing us beaded necklaces! Welcome to Bella Cucina Italian Buffet, one of our newest business partners. You may have seen a flyer come home recently announcing that KIDS EAT FREE every night at Bella Cucina from 5:00-7:00 p.m. We received tons of free pasta, salad and breadsticks for our Welcome Back Teachers' Luncheon this August. Chick-Fil-A has been a long-standing partner with Brentwood Elementary. Chick-Fil-A generously donates free kids' meals for our various awards programs as well as teacher appreciation gifts for our hard-working teachers. Dairy Queen on Clark Road is a brand new business partner this year at Brentwood. We will be having a Family Night on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the evening sales (Brentwood families AND anyone else who visits the store that night) will come back to the school. Dairy Queen will also be raffling off a BIKE to one lucky winner as well as three $10 gift cards. Honey Baked Ham has just joined our Business Partnership this year. Welcome aboard! This October they will be helping us raise money for our ever-increasing technology needs by allowing us to sell Honey Baked Ham gift certificates. Our new business partner, Kidsmania!, is located at 4225 Bee Ridge Road across from Sweetbay. Kidsmania! offers full-service hair cuts, up dos for parties, manicures and pedicures for kids, and birthday parties. The children sit in special fun chairs shaped like cars and motorcycles. They can also watch movies and play video games while getting their hair cut. Moms and Dads can get their hair cut, too while their kids play. Haircuts are just $12, and if you mention Brentwood, $1.00 comes back to our school. |

Longhorn Steakhouse, our Business Partner of the Year for 2006-2007 is hosting a "Family Night" for our Brentwood families on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Come out to support Longhorn Steakhouse on Fruitville Road wearing a Brentwood T-shirt and receive one free kids' meal per family. McDonald's on Bee Ridge Road has joined on as a new business partner. This school year McDonald's and Brentwood Elementary will be working together closely to form a win-win partnership. We have a "McBrentwood Night" at McDonald's coming up next year. Mrs. Henderson and several other staff members will be seen taking orders and flipping burgers! Won't it be fun to eat dinner, play in the playroom and watch your teachers dishing' up fries, burgers and shakes? Help your school make some extra money and enjoy a night out as a family! McDonald's also donates free kids' meals for various events, awards for meeting science goals, field trip opportunities for our little ones, and much more. Welcome to New Balance Sarasota, a beautiful store featuring athletic shoes and apparel. Stop by their location in the Sarasota Pavilion Shopping Center at 6573 S. Tamiami Trail to see their great selection. New Balance will be supporting our school during our Jog-A-Thon, as well as providing the following resources for our students and teachers throughout the year: plastic goody bags, large blow-up tennis shoes for special events, teacher discount through SCTA, gift certificates for silent auctions and teacher and student rewards, fundraising nights at the store, selling New Balance cards and donating a percentage back to Brentwood, 2 free shoe vouchers for children in need, bartering school equipment needs for advertising, support, train and mentor a running club, and offer a fashion show for school events. Olive Garden was our Business Partner of the Year for 2007-2008! We always have fun at our family nights at Olive Garden! Bring the family out to the Olive Garden on Tamiami Trail on Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Parents plan to meet up with your children's classmates and their families. This is a pleasant way to meet others, form study groups and car pools, and make new friends! A special thank you to the Olive Garden for their generous on-going support of our school. Ruby Slippers Art is a new company in town and a new Brentwood business partner. The owner, Melissa, has already assisted the 5th grade GATE team in making banners for their Ellis Island project. She is also going to be busy painting banners for the lunchroom to advertise all of our business partners. Sparkle Brite Pool Stores is the proud sponsor of our Kindergarten "Future Renaissance Student" T-shirts. Our kindergarteners wear their Renaissance shirts every Thursday to remind them to think of Kelso and make good choices. Stage Door Studios offers ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, tumbling, theater, voice, and piano lessons! For every Brentwood students that signs up for lessons, they will give us $5.00 a month. For example, if 10 Brentwood students sign up for classes, they will give us $50 a month for the 10 months of the year that we are in school--that's $500! Stardust Event Center, our Business Partner of the Year for 2005-2006 is ready for another great year! We have our skate nights already planned for the whole year, so mark your calendars: September 11, 2008, November 13, 2008, January 22, 2009, and April 16, 2009. The events last from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and admission is $5.00, which includes roller skate rental. Inline skates can be rented for an additional $3.00. Parents, you must come with your kids, but don't worry, we won't make you skate. These family nights are always tons of fun. So wear your Brentwood T-shirt and bring your family out for a great night of skating. |

SweetBay Supermarket is a proud supporter of Brentwood Elementary. Remember to shop at SweetBay Supermarket and look for the education dollars that print out with your receipt. Our partner store is located at 4057 Cattleman Road. All of our school dollar certificates need to be turned in by December 14th. A check will be issued to us in February 2008. Last year we raised over $1,600 just for shopping at SweetBay. Sweatbay also donated water for our Fun Run last spring. Thank you, SweetBay, for your generous support throughout the school year by also donating various grocery items to our school. Way to go!
