Ashton Elementary School has developed a rich tradition of academic excellence and a sound reputation based on student achievement, staff professionalism, and parent satisfaction. This outstanding facility opened its doors thirty-two years ago, and with recent renovations, has only become a better place for student learning. Our staff continues to provide children with an optimal learning environment as we REACH FOR THE STARS everyday. This is being accomplished through the implementation of instructional "best practices" based on effective school research and ongoing professional development for the entire staff.

As Ashton's principal, I strongly encourage every family to get involved in a meaningful way in their child's educational success. I am pleased to announce that at Ashton, parent volunteering, community involvement, and student academic success continues to increase. Results of our annual climate surveys, FCAT scores, and national achievement tests are superior. Our volunteer hours once again earned us the Golden School Award and 5 Star School recognition. This demonstrates the remarkable way Ashton serves as a shining example of just how teamwork between the home and school translates into success, for each and every child.
