About Booker

Booker High School is located on the north end of Sarasota County. The Booker campus covers 47 acres and includes a newly constructed gymnasium, football stadium, administrative complex, and theater center.

In addition to the students districted to the school, the Visual & Performing Arts Program, the Environmental Science Academy, the Law / Public Service Academy, and the English as a Second Language program enroll students from all parts of Sarasota County, as well as from populations representing many cultures

As a comprehensive high school, the programs are designed to meet the needs of this diverse population offering college preparatory, advanced placement, honors, vocational, Tech Prep and School to Work. Booker High School offers a complete sports program for boys and girls and competes at the District 4A level.
